A long-time local to Manly, Ellen grew up on the beaches. Life took her on many colourful paths and her fondest achievements include hiking at 5416m altitude through Thorong La Pass on the Annapurna circuit in Nepal, helping to relieve distress for lonely, mentally ill and suicidal people as a Telephone Crisis Supporter for Lifeline, managing a cattle farm in regional NSW and learning to play the djembe.

Ellen’s diverse career began in the sport and fitness industry after the completion of her Sports Management qualification. She worked for multiple seasons as the Competition Manager for the junior water polo league at Sydney Northern Beachers Breakers Club, and later at Tennis Australia and YogaBar.

During her subsequent business degree at Macquarie University, Ellen received an International Travel Scholarship for a trip to China where she had a chance to meet with organisations who have strong links to Australia. Ellen pursued a career in financial planning and a personal interest in share investing, however, with time she felt her true calling was in health. This led to studies in Nursing and Traditional Chinese Medicine, during which Ellen became a student at Manly Yoga.

Now equipped with the wisdom that life comes full circle, it’s no wonder after many incredible overseas adventures Ellen returned to the luscious surrounds of the beaches to become part of the Manly Yoga family.
