In this half day Ayurveda workshop we will look at practical ways to keep your digestion balanced, including specific recipes, kitchen remedies and Ayurvedic dietetic principles.
In Ayurveda (yoga’s sister science), your agni refers to your capacity to draw nourishment from the food that you eat. A balanced agni or digestive fire is seen as the key to wellbeing and healthy immune system functioning. Food that is not digested is known as ama (toxins) which predisposes us to poor physical and mental health. In this half day workshop we will look at practical ways to keep your digestion balanced, including specific recipes, kitchen remedies and Ayurvedic dietetic principles.
We will look at a holistic approach to balancing the agni which is essential in the management of digestive conditions, such as Irritable bowel syndrome, gluten sensitivity and food allergies as well as in chronic illness generally.
You will be given extensive handouts of all material covered in the workshop.
